After over a month of daily posting about generative AI, I had over 30 individual lessons I had taken the time to create, produce illustrations for and a framework for sharing the first steps of prompting, so I decided to start compiling the best lessons and producing books (digital and print) that could be resources for the community of learners new to the A.I. space.
Since I had been calling my daily explorations – “A.I. Explore” – it made sense that this should be the name base for each book. Book 1 of the whole series was “A.I. Explore: Prompt Fundamentals”. Since its first release the end of September 2022 – it was revised in November ’22, and totally rewritten and released in June of 2023. In the first and revised versions released in 2022, the lessons include:
- Getting Started
- Anatomy of Midjourney
- Prompt Structure and Aspect Ratio
- Segment 3 of Prompts: Influence/Style
- Descriptive Text Prompts and Render Engine Styles
- Style Reference and Image Weights
- Media and Historic Illustrations
- Referenced Artists and Pen & Ink / Watercolor on Media
- Vehicles, 8K, Post Production, and Action
- Style, Line Drawings, and Quality
- Environments and Lego
- Simple Prompts and Small Changes
The book was well received both in digital and print form, and earned great accolade from the AI community.
