Think about the things you do as a Creative.
What are the MAIN tasks you find yourself involved in on a daily basis? For 23+ years I ran a small branding & marketing agency with non-traditional model (at the time I started it) that had a single point of contact (me), and I hired in for each project the skills sets needed to complete tasks. It had limited overhead, gained quality solutions specific to the tasks tackled, and it kept me in the thick of things (like I absolutely LOVED to be).
Having seen the rise of generative AI, and the powerful implications of what that can mean for my fellow creatives (not in a the scary way it is being touted by the media and nay-sayers) – but we are being handed jet packs for every single area of our creative outlets. Jetpacks that will propel, amplify, speed up and make even more impactful, purposeful, enriched – every single creative endeavor we decide we want to undertake.
First thing to note… generative AI is NOT going to take your job. It will give a super-suit of capabilities (think more Iron Man with Jarvis than ‘The Greatest American Hero’) to those who take up the helm to learn and implement the toolset. I am here to help that happen.

Any branding experts out there? Any logo designers?
So, when you take on a project to design a brand identity – what is your current process? For me, I always spend a good amount of time working on the background details ABOUT the brand before trying to create an image to represent it. I have a whole system of question and answers with an elaborate Brand Strategy session with the client, that leads to Style Guides, that leads to logo development.

Every single step of that process can be enhanced and refined with generative AI. Rather than talk ABOUT the process… how about I walk you through it.

First lesson… generative AI can be a paraclete for creatives. That’s a Greek word that means ‘one called alongside to help.’ Think of me as you Mr. Miyagi that will show you how ‘wax on, wax off’ and ‘sand the floor’ not only makes you a more formidable designer, but a kick-A creative hero with genAI!
