While in Utah, we went to Park City… and of course I had to take a peak in the shops and explore the art scene. Not only did I see a Banksy on display, I also saw this 3-layer painting on sheets of glass. Across the room looking straight on, it looked deep. As you approached it and viewed it from various angles – you could see the distinct painted layers on the sheets of glass.
While I thought on this in prompting a diorama, I took it a whole new direction. What if the entire artwork was sculptural. The bold designs of Picasso presented in colorful plastics and epoxy in a 3D sculpture.
